Chairman, IIBCC Committee, Prof. Holmer Savastano Jr.

I was chosen at the 12th IIBC Conference (Aalborg September 2010) to serve as Chairman of the Organizing Committee to continue the outstanding work started of Prof Al Moslemi and more recently Prof. Carlos Negro. It is our challenge to keep the IIBCC community alive and strong by encouraging the participation of industry and academe in our conference and the growth of our conference beyond the 200 participants in Denmark is our immediate aim.

We are now committed to the organization of the next IIBC Conference to be held in Canberra, Australia in September 2012 and we look forward to your participation then. In the meantime we welcome your suggestions on the organization of the conference and comments on our previous efforts. In this regard, we are particularly interested to obtain greater participation of young and enthusiastic researchers so that we maintain continuity of development of the Inorganic-bonded Composites Sector.

You may expect regular communication from the Committee concerning the 2012 conference and we will be working to fulfill your expectations.

An open and independent worldwide forum to present and discuss information, research results and technological developments related to inorganic-bonded composites.

The Conference

• presents leading experts to present recent developments and findings relevant to inorganic-bonded composites and their production.

• stimulates contacts between researchers, key decision makers in the manufacturing and marketing of these composites as well as potential customers.
