IIBCC in Aalborg, Denmark, 2010
21-24 September 2010, the IIBCC coference visited Scandinavien.
The host city of the IIBCC conference 2010 was the city of
Aalborg, situate in the region of Northern Jutland in
Denmark.
The conference was hosted as a joint effort by Aalborg
University and the European fibre-cement
manufacturer Cembrit, with a team lead by Mr. Eigil Sorensen,
Aalborg University, and Mr. Henning Thygesen, Cembrit.
The conference made a record-high number of participants in
recent years with 192 show-ups and .
Again the conference program included 26 high quality
papers, including the honoured guest-speaker Prof. Arnon
Bentur, Technion, Israel. The conference gala-dinner took place in
the Utzon centre, build by the family to the danish architect
Jorgen Utzon. Before the dinner the participants had a look into
Aalborgs history through a city-stroll with guides and performining
artists.
This year the Moslemi Excellence Award was presented to Mr.
Gustavo Tonoli, and his Supervisor Prof. Holmer Savastano Jr., both
from Universidade de Sao Paulo, Brazil
